春節(jié)過(guò)后，你胖了幾斤？

今天我們就來(lái)聊一聊“減肥”的話(huà)題吧！

首先關(guān)于肥胖，我們來(lái)學(xué)習(xí)一下這幾個(gè)常見(jiàn)詞的差異。

It is not very polite to say someone is fat, heavy or overweight is more neutral and polite.

說(shuō)別人fat不是很禮貌，heavy 或者overweight相對(duì)更中性和禮貌。

另外，fat除了是形容詞還可以做名詞。

N-MASS(食物中的)脂肪

Fat is a substance contained in foods such as meat, cheese, and butter which forms an energy store in your body.

e.g. Because you're not burning calories, everything you eat turns to fat.

由于沒(méi)有消耗卡路里，你吃的所有東西都會(huì)變成脂肪

我們?cè)賮?lái)學(xué)習(xí)兩個(gè)表示胖呼呼圓滾滾的詞。

You can describe someone or something as plump to indicate that they are rather fat or rounded.

A chubby person is rather fat.

obese是指極端肥胖了，名詞obesity就是肥胖癥。

If someone is obese, they are extremely fat.

看來(lái)有人覺(jué)得肥胖癥是比禽流感和全球變暖更值得擔(dān)心的世界性的威脅。
